Dianna LaFerry is a commercial artist and sewing authority based in Martinez, California. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from The University of Oklahoma and spent 2-1/2 years of post-graduate study at the California School of Professional Fabric Design.
Her own eponymous lines of sewing patterns and iron-on embroidery transfers can be puchased on Etsy and at select stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also designs fabric for licensing and digital print.
About Dianna’s Artwork
Her graphics career began in 1993 with an early copy of Adobe Illustrator and a desk in a tiny mom-and-pop tee shirt printing shop. Since then, she has worked with thousands of clients to design custom graphics, artwork, and illustrations. She specializes in making a client’s raw ideas into refined and professional printed material.
Most of Dianna’s commercial art and design is focused on illustration, identity, branding, and collateral. Her services include concept sketching, research and sourcing, prepress and print production, color consultation, creative consultation, and PR.
Dianna currently works with other artisans in the home sewing and stitch industry to bring home sewing patterns to life through illustrations and PDF products, and has over 10 years of experience consulting for the home sewing industry.

About Dianna’s Stitchery
A serious embroiderer and crafter since age 5, Dianna has been sewing garments since 1987 and has sewn professionally since 1991. A fourth-generation sewing practitioner, she began her study of sewing and embroidery with her mother and grandmother through personal projects and professional sewing jobs. Over many years, she has increased her knowledge with self-study and has worked with many clients to produce garments and embellishments from basic to formal.
Most recently, Dianna has produced couture hand embroidery for luxury fashion manufacturers in San Francisco Bay Area.
Dianna is an enthusiastic sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet educator. She designs embroidery and sewing projects for home sewists.
